 -   E-Pals Registration Form

As part of this year's Neighborhood Networks Week activities, E-Pals will allow residents to get involved directly by participating in an e-mail pen pal activity. This is an opportunity for residents to meet other center participants across the country via the Internet. E-Pals is fun and enlightening. Corresponding with a pen pal sharpens written language and typing skills and encourages the use of computers. Joining an e-mail pen pal exchange also contributes to the feeling of community within the Neighborhood Networks Initiative by bringing together Neighborhood Networks center participants nationwide.

Participating is easy. Participants should complete and submit a registration form including their age, gender, language preference, and interests. Neighborhood Networks staff will pair participants based on shared interests, and will provide each with their new E-Pal's e-mail address so that they may begin corresponding. (The information on the participants' registration form will not be shared with E-Pals or any other parties.)

Please fax registration forms to (301) 519-5980, Attn: Neighborhood Networks Week E-Pal Activity Coordinator or submit the E-Pal registration form by or e-mail by Monday, August 1, 2005.
