HUD's Neighborhood Networks celebrated its 10th anniversary in
2005. In honor of a decade of delivering technology access to America's
communities, HUD sponsored the Connecting Communities, Creating
Opportunities 10th Anniversary National Training Conference
in Lake Buena Vista, Florida, from June 29-July 1, 2005.
Neighborhood Networks center directors and staff, participants,
consortia, residents, property owners, supporters, partners, and
stakeholders joined together for a multitude of educational, networking,
and fun events. More detailed information can be found in the Conference
Brochure. This year's conference offered:

Pre-conference sessions for new centers and grantwriting. |

More than 30 sessions designed to help centers
build capacity, create new and improved programs for residents,
and acquire funding to sustain themselves. |

Special opportunities to network with community
organizations, funders, and potential partners. |

A recognition dinner and ceremony to honor those
who have contributed to the success of Neighborhood Networks during
the past 10 years. |

An interactive exhibit hall that will feature current
and potential partners, educational displays, products created
by Neighborhood Networks Centers, games, and prizes. |

A trip to NASA's Kennedy Space Center at Cape Canaveral.
