What Projects Are Included

- -
 Information by State
 Print version

1,054 projects that were initially endorsed for FHA insurance, 202/811 capital advances, or HFA risk sharing mortgage insurance during FY 97 (10/1/96 - 9/30/97). Coinsurance, coinsurance conversions, and preservation capital grants are not included in this site. No hospitals were initially endorsed for 242 mortgage insurance during FY 97.

A project is initially endorsed when FHA, the lender and owner have agreed on the design, costs, and mortgage assumptions for the project and construction is ready to begin. Construction generally takes 18 to 24 months. Thus, a project initially endorsed in early FY 97 would usually start occupancy in the Summer of 1999.

Data for FHA insured and HFA risk sharing loans was taken from the Multifamily Insurance System (F47). Data on 202/811 projects was derived from the Closing Memoranda (FHA Forms 290) submitted to Headquarters.

Descriptions of data sets are available.
