During FY 2001 Multifamily Housing provided $4.34 billion in FHA insurance and $451.8 million in Risk Sharing mortgage insurance … a total of $4.79 billion ... to support the construction, repair or refinancing of 101,735 units/beds in 758 projects. These projects are scattered over 46 states and the District of Columbia. The FHA insurance provided a variety of shelter options: 470 apartment /coop projects; 67 assisted living/ board & care facilities; 135 nursing homes; and 5 mobile home parks. The risk sharing involved 81 additional projects.

This Site Provides:

 -   Reports that count loans initially endorsed in FY 2001 under the Basic FHA or Risk Sharing Programs. Counts are by program group/ category, activity (e.g., new construction vs. refinancing), HUB, state, or originating lender.
 -   A database visitors can download and use to prepare their own reports.

All data was derived from F47, the Multifamily Insurance System. All counts are based upon initial endorsements that had been recorded in F47 as of October 31, 2001.
