HUD
conducted the Multifamily & Healthcare Loan Sale, ("MHLS
2008-2"), on June 25, 2008. Ten Multifamily and Healthcare
mortgage loans, with an aggregate unpaid principal balance (UPD)
of approximately $38 million, were sold to 9 winning bidders. The
portfolio included non-performing mortgage loans secured by first
liens on multifamily and healthcare properties, including assisted
living, congregate care, and nursing homes.
HUD
offered the loans in 2 pools, according to various collateral types.
The loans were sold utilizing a sealed bid auction format over a
web-based platform.
