Brenda Owusu, Partner
Owusu
& Company ("Owusu") provides accounting, auditing, financial advisory,
due diligence, and management consulting services to governmental
agencies, private, and nonprofit entities. Furthermore, Owusu works
closely with a large pool of specialists from various business disciplines
who contribute to the successful completion of the company's engagements.
Owusu, founded in 1993, is certified by the Small Business Administration
to participate in the 8(a) business development program.
Owusu
is currently contracted by HUD, under the auspices of the Federal
Housing Administration ("FHA") Asset Sales Program, to facilitate
the design and sale of sales initiative, Multifamily & Healthcare
Sale Initiative ("MHLS 2003"). HUD intends to sell a percentage
of its multifamily & healthcare portfolio of unsubsidized HUD-held
notes. Owusu will assist HUD in the development of the whole loan
initiative, the marketing and sale of the initiative, the creation
of a Market Valuation Model, the preparation and administration
of a Bid Evaluation Model, and the closing of the sale initiative.
Just
recently, Owusu and its key personnel completed two major HUD due
diligence projects, Multifamily and Healthcare Loan Sales (MHLS)
2002-1 & 2002-2, involving $750 million of complex healthcare and
multifamily loans.
As
Transaction Specialist to HUD, Owusu will be working with Cushman
& Wakefield to assist HUD in facilitating the design and sale of
the upcoming loan sale initiatives, MHLS 2003. Owusu and C&W worked
together on HUD's two most recent multifamily and healthcare loan
sales.
Additionally,
our team's personnel have worked together on other HUD projects
and with a wide range of other government agencies and private sector
partners in completing Transaction Specialist and Due Diligence
duties for a broad range of transactions including whole loan sales,
joint ventures, securitizations, and valuations.
