The National Fair Housing Training Academy is hosting classes for the remainder of calendar year 2007 at the USDA Graduate School located in the Capital Gallery Building at 600 Maryland Avenue, SW, Washington, DC 20024.

Hotel Accommodations

The Academy cannot arrange hotel rooms for Academy participants; however, attendees can make reservations at any hotel in the Washington, DC area.

You can search for hotels in the immediate vicinity of the Training Academy on any travel website or search engine. Search for accommodations using the USDA Graduate School address: 600 Maryland Avenue, SW, Washington, DC 20024.

Transportation

Metro: For a Metro map, and directions from your hotel to the Academy, go to www.wmata.com. The Capital Gallery building is located at the L'Enfant Plaza Metro station on the Yellow, Green, Blue and Orange Lines. Exit on the Maryland Avenue side and you will be facing an entrance to the Capital Gallery Building. Once entering that door, take the corridor to the next wing of the building and go down one flight.

Accessibility:

Individuals needing curb-to-curb service can call METROAccess at (301) 562-5376 to request an application. Only riders that meet specific eligibility requirements may qualify for this service. Approvals are granted for 21 days per year. The cost is $2.50 each way and you must show ID. It takes three weeks to apply. Get the application online at metroopendoors.com, under "accessibility".

Taxi: As an alternative to taking the Metro, you may travel by taxi. You can access all taxi services serving the Washington Metro area via the web on sites like www.dcpages.com.

Driving Directions

**Note: There is a parking garage under the Capital Gallery Building with the entrance on 6th Street, SW (across from Starbucks). Take the elevator up to the lobby level, then take another elevator or stairs down one flight to the USDA Graduate School.
