When:
April 21 and 22, 2006
Description: HUD's Fair Housing Accessibility FIRST program will provide
a Fair Housing Seminar that will, for the first time, be offered simultaneously
as a webcast. In addition, on April 22, as part of HUD's disaster relief efforts
in the wake of Hurricanes Katrina, Rita and Wilma, HUD is offering a second full
day of training, Rebuilding Communities: Accessibility Requirements Under the
ADA and Section 504. This second day of training will also be offered simultaneously
as a webcast and will significantly benefit rebuilding efforts to ensure that
buildings being rebuilt or rehabilitated are done so in a manner that complies
with laws assuring access for persons with disabilities. The second day of training
also will be of benefit to individuals and organizations that are required to
comply with the accessibility requirements of the ADA and Section 504 and need
to better understand the applicability of these laws to various facilities. Making
this information available via webcast will benefit many persons and organizations
who may not otherwise be able to attend either a FIRST training or the Rebuilding
Communities training. To view the webcast, you will need Windows Media Player
(most recent version) and have broadband, either a Cable modem or DSL. Live
WEBCAST: There will be a live webcast of each day of the seminar in Tampa,
FL on April 22, 2006. To view the webcast, you will need Windows Media Player
(most recent version) and have broadband, either a Cable modem or DSL. Go to the
