Key Accomplishments

Fiscal Year 2007 Accomplishments:

• Issued 683 owners notices of violation of regulatory agreements or notices of default of HAP contracts.
• Recovered more than $21 million in funds to insured and assisted multifamily properties.
• Entered 181 settlements for Annual Financial Statements (AFS) late filers. $611,260 collected in penalties.
• Entered 22 settlements with multifamily owners for financial irregularities, with more than $338,383 collected.
• For the same time period, took 580 compliance actions against HUD program participants, consisting of 135 suspensions, 224 proposed debarments and 221 final debarments.

Management Goal Accomplishments Fiscal Year 2007:

• 99 percent closure of physical cases, exceeding our goal of closing 80 percent of the beginning inventory for fiscal year 2007.
• 93 percent completion of compliance sanctions, exceeding our goal of closing 84 percent.
