Activity Setup Screens

- -
 Information by State
 Print version

To set up an activity, you use the same four screens for all four CPD formula grant programs. Often referred to as the "Common Path," these screens allow you to enter important information such as an activity description, proposed accomplishments, and budget. While most of the fields in IDIS are self-explanatory, some require knowledge of various IDIS codes and program codes.

Each of the four screens on the common path has a different theme:

Screen 1 (C04MA01)
Theme: Identify Activity

  • Associates the activity with a project.
  • Captures site information, such as address and location.

Screen 2 (C04MA03)
Theme: Nature of Activity

  • Links the activity with HUD's matrix code system.
  • Identifies whether the activity serves a special needs group.
  • Identifies whether the activity generates program income.
  • Identifies whether the activity will be funded with a subgrant.

Screen 3 (C04MA04)
Theme: Accomplishment Status

  • Provides status and accomplishment data. Users update this screen as the activity progresses or as instructed by the HUD Field Office/HUD Headquarters.

Screen 4 (C04MA08)
Theme: Money

  • Establishes the estimated budget for the activity.
  • Designates the CPD program in which the activity will be associated.

The IDIS Reference Manual provides a more detailed explanation of Setting Up the Activity Common Path in Chapter 4.

The Program Path screens follow those in the Common Path. Unique for each program, they capture beneficiary data for each activity.
