Schedule

The IDIS reengineering project is complete! The last round of grantees will migrate from the mainframe legacy IDIS to the new web-based IDIS OnLine by 9/16. Please keep the following in mind during the transition:

  1. Round 3 grantees will be locked out of Legacy IDIS starting 9 pm EDT 9/10 and will go live in IDIS OnLine at 7 am EDT 9/16. The lockout is necessary to properly convert all grantee data to IDIS OnLine.
    • During this lockout, grantees already on IDIS OnLine will not have any disruption and can use IDIS OnLine as usual during regular hours (7am - 9pm EDT M-F; 8am - 8pm Sat EDT).
    • Grantees in the following states are converting this round: AK, AZ, AR, CA, CT, DC, FL, IN, KS, KY, LA, MD, MN, NE, NM, NY, NC, OH, OK, PA, VA, and WV.

  2. GRANTEES, when migrated to IDIS OnLine, will lose access to Legacy IDIS. No Grantee will have parallel access in both systems.

  3. All HUD HQ and Field Office staff currently can access IDIS OnLine, and will keep access in both systems until 9pm EDT 9/10.

  4. Grantees being migrated must ensure they have NO AUTOMATED DRAWS SCHEDULED during the conversion week. Any automated draws will fail.

  5. The release schedule is as follows:

    Thurs 9/10

Round 3 grantees: Normal operation on Legacy IDIS.

Last chance to initiate draws in Legacy 8:59 pm EDT.

Last chance to submit EDI data in Legacy.

Do not run overnight reports in Legacy

Other grantees: No impact; continue using IDIS OnLine as usual.

HUD staff: Last day to use Legacy IDIS.

    Fri 9/11 to Tue 9/15

Round 3 grantees: Locked out of IDIS.

Ensure no automated draws are scheduled these days.

Other grantees: No impact; continue using IDIS OnLine as usual.

    Wed 9/16

Round 3 grantees: Begin using IDIS OnLine, including EDI: https://www21.hud.gov/idis

Other grantees: No impact; continue using IDIS OnLine as usual.

  6. The initial userid and password will be your existing C ID/H ID. For grantee users, the initial password will be the first initial of their first name (capitalized) + their last name with the first initial capitalized. Here are some examples:

    cn: ABRAHAM LINCOLN
    userpassword: ALincoln

    cn: MARY T. LINCOLN
    userpassword: MLincoln

    givenName: MARIBEL
    sn: ROQUE' SOSA
    cn: MARIBEL ROQUE' SOSA
    userpassword: MRoquesosa

You will be prompted to change your password to something personal. For HUD staff, the initial password will be your LAN password.

  7. This release will contain Electronic Data Interchange (EDI) function. Grantees using EDI need to test their EDI. Contact your VAN. Please note: the last day to send EDI transactions on Legacy is Thursday Sept. 10..

Training on the UAT Test Server

While HUD does not have funds available now for formal training, the User Acceptance Testing (UAT) server is available now for you to learn how to navigate through and use the new system, including running reports.

IDIS OnLine UAT Test Server Login Instructions

Your initial userid and password will be your existing C ID/H ID. While the userid can be upper- or lower-case, the password must be only upper case. You will be prompted to change your password. At that point, your password is permanent.

Please do not use your current IDIS password for your initial login; it will not work with this UAT environment.

Round 3 grantees should continue practicing in IDIS OnLine UAT until they go live in the system. All users should become comfortable with doing their normal business in IDIS OnLine UAT before they are converted to IDIS OnLine production.

If you get locked out of IDIS OnLine UAT, wait 2 minutes and try logging in again. If you still have difficulty logging in, please contact the CPD Help Desk at 877-483-8282 or via email at IDIS.Help@hud.gov.
