If we lived within our means and did not unnecessarily exploit the environment, we would be practicing sustainable development. Public and private policies, technologies and processes, which can guide us toward sustainable development, are identified in the following electronic links. Growth Management is sound policies which help conserve our natural resources, by guiding development with sound environmental policies. Green Building

What is green building?

Green building is using environmentally sound building practices in the construction of residential and commercial buildings. This is based on four overarching categories: energy efficiency, indoor air quality, resource conservation, and water use. It involves site planning, design, construction, and materials must be reconsidered from a green perspective.
