Economic Development Funding Summaries and Alerts

  [orange bullet] Economic Development Links

In recent decades the United States rural economy has diversified, but economic stagnation and poverty remain problems in many rural communities. Many rural areas, given the lack of infrastructure and geographic isolation, are at a competitive disadvantage in the competition for jobs and industry.

This part of the Gateway site will provide funding summaries and case studies for users to learn more about rural economic development funding opportunities and the experiences of other rural economic developers.

For more detailed information on economic development issues, visit the National Congress for Community Economic Development website.
