Community Unified Today, Inc. in Ontario, NY will receive a Rural Housing and Economic Development Capacity Building grant in the amount of $150,000. The applicant proposes to use their award to build capacity within their organization. They will expand and develop services targeting very small populations in non-urban areas in Ontario and Wayne Counties. Some of the services they will market will be health, nutrition, childcare and housing programs to seasonal farmworkers through the local winemaking region. Some of the organizations and businesses supporting the applicant are the Finger Lakes Workforce Investment Board and Worker Ownership Resource Center, Inc. and the Multicultural Agencies United for Redevelopment Disabilities. Proposed leveraging for $76,741.

The Rural Opportunities, Inc. in Rochester, NY will receive a Rural Housing and Economic Development Innovative grant in the amount of $400,000. The grant funds will be used to further test innovative construction systems and evaluation for single family housing and new construction. Some of the organizations and businesses supporting the applicant are the Home Loan Bank of New York and the Doral Bank. Proposed leveraging in the amount of $4,174,482.
