SER de New Mexico, Inc. in Albuquerque, NM will receive a Rural Housing and Economic Development Capacity Building grant in the amount of $150,000. This grant will be used to provide homeownership and financial counseling to its beneficiaries. Proposed cash and in-kind leveraging resources total approximately $163,062. Partners and supporters for this venture include Corporation for National Community Service, MFA, the University of New Mexico and Bernalillo county Housing Authority.

South Central Council of Governments, Inc. in Elephant Butte, NM will receive a Rural Housing and Economic Development Capacity Building grant in the amount of $138,000. This grant will be used to pay for personnel, travel and purchase supplies and equipment for the organization. Proposed cash and in-kind leveraging total approximately $13,800. The target area for this project is in a Colonias. The project will serve areas with populations less than 2,500 and seasonal farmworkers.

Mexicano Land and Education Conservation Trust in Espanola, NM will receive a Rural Housing and Economic Development Capacity Building grant in the amount of $128,640. This grant will be used to pay for personnel, equipment and supplies for the organization. The funds will also be used to hire contractors. Proposed cash and in-kind leveraging resources total approximately $20,000. Partners and supporters for this venture include Canon De Carnuel Land Grant and La Merced del Pueblo de Chilili. The target groups for this project are seasonal farmworkers and areas with a population of 2,500 or less.

This grant will be used to rehabilitate existing units in the target area and establish a revolving loan fund. Proposed cash and in-kind leveraging resources total approximately $814,000. Partners and supporters for this venture include Tejas Community Credit Opportunities, Inc., MFA, El Paso Collaborative for Community Economic Development, and Colonia Development Council. The target area for this project is in a Colonias.
