their efforts in assisting the Hollister community in conducting
a feasibility study to ascertain the alternative septic systems
appropriate for the soil and topography germane to Hollister. This
project will help identify failing systems due to poor soil permeability
and high water levels, and to identify households with incomplete
plumbing facilities. Some of the organizations and businesses supporting
the applicant are the North Carolina Rural Communities Assistance
Project, The Enterprise Alliance of Halifax, North Carolina State
University, Native Opportunity Way, and the Natural Resources Conservation
Service, just to list a few of those committed to this undertaking.
