The Upper Sand Mountain Lager Parish, Inc. in Sylvania, AL will receive a Rural Housing and Economic Development grant in the amount of $150,000. This Capacity Building grant will be used to employ a full time program coordinator. Proposed cash and in-kind leveraging resources total approximately $193,860. Partners and supporters of this venture are Birmingham Southern College, North Alabama United Methodist Church, the Town of Sylvania, Bonnie Plant Farm and Canterbury United Methodist Church.
