HUD Publications. HUD provides several Energy Efficiency Publications, available through HUD USER. Key HUD publications include:

Home Energy Magazine disseminates information on residential energy conservation, performance, and comfort. This magazine covers residential comfort issues with most editorial content directly from the people researching and employing innovative design, building, and remodeling practices and products. The Home Energy Magazine website provides access to subscription information as well as past articles.

Building Industry Professionals for Environmental Responsibility (BIPER) Newsletter provides information on sustainable development and sustainable design, green building, storm water pollution prevention, urban heat islands, green building products, soft energy, distributed generation, micro-girds, heat stacks, sunlight hitting the street in cities, building shadows causing cooling, interoperability. It focuses on news for architects, designers, and contractors, bridging the gap between their disciplines.

DOE's Efficiency and Renewable Energy Network (EREN) News is a weekly newsletter on energy efficiency and renewable energy news and events, new sites on EREN, and energy facts and tips. Click on the link above to subscribe to the newsletter.

DOE's Office of Building Technology has a really good publication on ducts called Improving the Efficiency of Your Duct System.
