For an overview of these requirements with respect to HOME-funded activities, see the companion HOME Program model Monitoring HOME Program Performance. Also, available from Community Connections in hard copy.

Beyond the HOME-specific rules and requirements, there are several broad Federal requirements that must be observed under the HOME Program, including non-discrimination and equal access, employment and contracting, environmental requirements, lead-based paint, and relocation.

HOME staff should regularly monitor housing owners, developers, sponsors, contractors, and subrecipients, to ensure their continued compliance with these regulations.

HOME Check-up provides tools in the form of checklists for monitoring compliance with other Federal requirements.

These checklists are listed below.

 -   Fair Housing and Equal Opportunity Checklist
 -   Affirmative Marketing Checklist
 -   Section 504 Checklist
 -   Section 3 Checklist
 -   Outreach to Minority/Women's Business Enterprise Checklist
 -   Labor Standards Checklist
 -   Environmental Reviews Checklist
 -   Lead-based Paint Checklist
 -   Relocation Checklist
