Adult Students Away from Home

If an adult student living away from home is counted as a member of a household when determining the household size (for comparing annual income to the HOME Program Income Limits), the first $480 of the student's income must be counted in the family's income.

Note, however, that the $480 limit does not apply to a student who is the head of household or a spouse. When this is the case, their full income must be counted.
