The HOME Program has specific requirements regarding property types, property values, and property standards in HOME funded projects.

Property types. The HOME Program specifies the types of property eligible for HOME assistance based on the nature of the HOME activity being undertaken.
Property values. The HOME Program places a limit on the value of properties assisted with HOME funds through homebuyer or homeowner rehabilitation programs.
Property standards. Properties assisted with HOME funds must meet certain minimum property standards. The applicable standards also vary based on the nature of HOME activity funded.
