The Evaluate System phase of the System Development Methodology (below) guides you in managing the testing and validation of the new system.

This is a critical phase as the system's performance, satisfaction of user requirements, security certification, and overall readiness for production release are assessed. Errors and omissions during this phase often impact the Program Office and users directly, and can result in costly maintenance efforts while in production.

In the System Development Methodology, you'll find:

  • descriptions of key activities for this phase,
  • roles and responsibilities, and
  • identification and explanations of the documents required during this phase.

By performing these activities as outlined, you can make a valid assessment/recommendation of the production readiness of the system.
