 Information by State

Related Information

The Building System phase of the System Development Methodology (SDM-below) assists you in managing the actual construction of your system in coordination with the development team.

During the Build phase, developers use the requirements and design information produced in prior lifecycle phases to write the code, and create the databases and other software products that will comprise the system.

In the SDM, you'll find other key activities that are part of this phase, including

  • the preparation of test plans and system documentation,
  • key items and coordination issues that you must consider,
  • identification and explanations of required documents,
  • the core issues each document must address, and
  • roles and responsibilities.

Performing the activities as outlined should result in a stable software product that is ready for testing and production release.
