Case Study
The
Office of Single Family Housing (SFH) in collaboration with the
HUD’s EA Team developed an information technology blueprint. SFH
was deemed a high priority based on high system maintenance costs
and poor support for field operations and emerging business requirements.
Implementation
of the SFH blueprint will reduce the number of SFH systems by nearly
80 percent—from 30 supported and 6 unsupported systems to approximately
7 core modules. The SFH blueprint minimizes functional overlap,
and reduces the total cost of ownership by modernizing the technology
base and decreasing maintenance costs. For more information see
a presentation
(pdf) on this case study.
