The President's declaration of a major disaster area for Minnesota was signed on January 16, 1997 and includes Becker, Big Stone, Blue Earth, Brown, Chippewa, Clay, Clearwater, Cottonwood, Douglas, Faribault, Grant, Jackson, Kandiyohi, Kittson, Lac qui Parle, Lincoln, Lyon, Mahnomen, Marshall, Martin, Murray, Nicollet, Nobles, Norman, Otter Tail, Pennington, Pipestone, Polk, Pope, Red Lake, Redwood, Renville, Rock, Roseau, Stevens, Swift, Traverse, Watonwan, Wilkin and Yellow Medicine counties. The President's declaration of a major disaster area for Washington State was signed on January 17, 1997 and includes King and Snohomish counties. Chapter 2 and 4330.1 REV-5 , Chapter 14 are in effect immediately and will remain in effect for one year from the date of the President's declaration.
