The U.S. Department of Housing and Urban Development (HUD) is sponsoring an interactive training course for HUD Field Office staff and the grantee community to strengthen the implementation of HUD programs.

Participants

About the Trainers

Barbara Dorf is a Supervisory Program Analyst, in the Office of Departmental Grants Management and Oversight. The office is responsible for implementing HUD's Super NOFA in which the majority of HUD's competitive programs are announced in a single notice; development of performance eLogic models for each program; and working with the 26 other federal grant making agencies implementing the requirements of P.L. 106-107.

Loyd LaMois worked over 22 years for grassroots and faith-based nonprofit homeless services, and affordable housing organizations and the Catholic Diocese of Arlington, Virginia. Since coming to HUD in 1999, LaMois has planned and provided training through HUD's Center for Community and Interfaith Partnerships (now the Office of Faith-Based and Community Initiatives), served as Director of the Program Support Division in the Office of Housing, and worked two stints in the Office of Departmental Grants Management and Oversight.

Tamara Alston is a Program Liaison Officer in the Office of Departmental Grants Management and Oversight (ODGMO). She began her career at the US Department of Housing and Urban Development (HUD) as a Presidential Management Fellow in the Office of the Chief Financial Officer, Office of Budget. For four years, she worked as a Budget Analyst in the Office of Budget, were she advised and worked closely with the Department's budget and administrative staff to determine and manage staffing resources. In ODGMO, she is responsible for managing the Logic Model collection and reporting process, as well as providing training and technical assistance to the Department's program staff and grantees.
