Office of Departmental Grants Management and Oversight. The office
serves as the single point of contact for grants management information
within the Department of Housing and Urban Development. Barbara
has been with HUD for 33 years and has held a variety of policy
and program positions in the Office of Administration, Office of
the Secretary and the Office of Community Planning and Development
within HUD. Her experiences include development of grants policy
and program management, personnel management, workload analysis,
field office organizational structure, and performance measurement.
She has received numerous awards and honors including the Secretary's
Award for Excellence in 1999, the National Grants Management Association
Distinguished Service Award in 2004, the Harry Hatry Distinguished
Performance Measurement Practice Award in 2007, the National Public
Service award in 2007, and the HUD Award for advancement of policies
for persons with disabilities through the SuperNOFA in 2007.
