Secretary Alphonso Jackson Statement on the Passing of Coretta Scott King

- -
 Information by State
 Print version

Yesterday, America lost one of its greatest Human Rights leaders. Coretta Scott King, a woman of indomitable strength, picked up and carried the torch illuminating the path to the American Dream of equality.

Like Martin, Coretta leaves behind an unforgettable legacy marked by grace, courage and determination.

Our thoughts and prayers are with the King family.
