Not all Wisconsin Indian Reservations offer emergency shelter services. Tribal Housing Authorities develop and prioritize a waiting list for Tribal members in need of housing. Until appropriate housing can be found, some of the Indians live with relatives or extended family members, or they rent from private owners in surrounding areas.

There is a list of Tribes and Tribal Housing Authorities in Wisconsin and in other states in the Eastern/Woodlands Region on the internet.
