During the rainy season from October through March, there is a higher chance of flooding in the lower Green River Valley. This winter, because of erosion around the Howard Hanson Dam, homes and businesses in Auburn, Kent, Renton, South Seattle and Tukwila could be particularly affected and evacuation required.

Are you and your family ready? Do you have flood insurance? A family emergency kit? A place on higher ground where you and yours can be safe and dry?

The rains of winter are fast approaching. If you live in Auburn, Kent, Renton, South Seattle or Tukwila, the time to prepare is now! Here are some resources to help you.
