HOPE FOR HOMEOWNERS...
*** President Bush signed the Housing and Economic Recovery Act of 2008 on Wednesday, July 30. The Act will create the Hope for Homeowners Program effective October 1, and will provide additional mortgage relief options. For now - struggling homeowners should still contact a HUD-approved Housing Counseling Agency, the HOPE NOW Alliance at 1-888-995-HOPE, or FHA at 1-800-CALLFHA ***

HUD published the FY2008 Continuum of Care (CoC) Notice of Funding Availability (NOFA) for Homeless Assistance Grants on July 10, opening the competition for approximately $1.4 billion in funding for homeless assistance grants, including invitation to apply for Rapid Re-housing Demonstration. CoC applications are submitted through e-snaps - For training & additional information about e-snaps, go to the Homelessness Resource Exchange.
