Virginia Association of Housing Counselors has announced 2008 VAHC "Empowerment Award" Winners: Michele Grant-Office of Human Affairs (Eastern Region), Cheri Miles- Central Virginia Housing Coalition (Northern), Paul Harper-County of Albemarle-Housing Department (Central) and TAAP- Total Action Against Poverty- Implementation of a Housing Loss Prevention and Education Center (Western) *** Norfolk RHA hosted 2 very successful events in May - each event bringing out nice crowds and community support - May 18 Broad Creek Community Open House and May 21 Grandy Village wetlands project and proposed community center (written up by the Virginian Pilot).
