Need some help learning how to organize a nonprofit organization and develop a strategy for action?

HUD contracts with national or regional organizations to help community organizations use HUD's programs and resources. These technical assistance providers can help you implement community development programs that use HUD assistance. Technical assistance providers that work with colonias and farmworker groups in Texas include:

 -   Housing Assistance Council - serves Texas through their Southwest Office.
 -   National technical assistance providers - You also may use the services of one of the national technical assistance providers under contract with HUD.
 -   GrantWorks - provides planning, community development and housing services for small and rural communities. The staff includes Certified Planners, Construction Managers, Phase I Environmental/Lead Based Paint Assessors, and GIS Experts. Their fees are negotiable.
 -   Border Health Foundation - is a nonprofit organization, 501(c) 3, that provides health, community development, and housing development to colonias along a four state border area including Texas, New Mexico, Arizona and California.
