Here's What We Provide
Legal Aid Services of Oklahoma provides legal assistance to low-income and elderly persons in non-criminal matters.
Services focus on providing help with basic needs, such as housing and income, and protection from domestic abuse. Lawyers are
available to represent persons in such matters as eviction cases, foreclosures, domestic cases involving abuse, bankruptcies,
garnishments, unemployment compensation, landlord-tenant issues, and fair housing.
The organization receives a special grant from HUD to assist homeless persons in Tulsa and Broken Arrow areas. Lawyers assist
homeless persons with obtaining disability income, gaining admission to housing, and other legal matters.
Legal Aid also provides special services to persons age 60 and over, including drafting wills and powers of attorney. The
organization also provides legal advice by phone senior citizens and low-income persons.
