Nation Housing Authority. |

The Choctaw Nation Housing Authority has opened their second modular
home facility in Stigler, Oklahoma. The first facility is in Coalgate,
Oklahoma. The facility is large enough to build four modular homes
consecutively.
The Housing Authority is using the modular home process to lower
the cost of constructing new units. They have their own loan program
and also assist members with loans from First Mortgage in Oklahoma
City in partnership with FannieMae. They help tribal members that
fall under 80% of the national median income.
The Housing Authority is also assisting members that have fallen
prey to predatory lending practices. Through various financing methods
and programs, they have been able to help tribal members preserve
their status as homeowners.
Jeremy and Mary Jane Morris received their home from the Coalgate
modular home facility and are excited to be living the American
dream.
Congratulations to the Choctaw Nation and the Choctaw Nation Housing
Authority for enhancing the lives of Native American families.
