HOPE for Homeowners
The Bush Administration unveiled on October 1 additional mortgage assistance for homeowners at risk of foreclosure. The HOPE for Homeowners program will refinance mortgages for borrowers who are having difficulty making their payments, but can afford a new loan insured by HUD’s Federal Housing Administration (FHA).

HUD Project in NYC Helps Combat World Hunger - HUD's New York Regional Director Sean Moss joined with New York State Governor David A. Paterson, Lower Manhattan Development Corporation Chairman Avi Schick, Deputy Mayor Linda Gibbs and others in the opening of a HUD funded project to combat world hunger and poverty.
