Albuquerque Rescue Mission (505) 889-6359 Homeless emergency shelter which provides limited, short-term shelter for transient men. In addition, offers meals 3 times a day/7 days a week, clothing, food baskets, spiritual rehabilitation and social service advocacy.
Barrett House (505) 243-4887 Services: Emergency shelter which provides minimum necessities of life on limited, short-term basis for women and women with children who are homeless. Program includes shelter, meals, clothing, and referrals as needed. Must be out of shelter 9 a.m. - 4 p.m.
Good Shepherd Center (505) 243-2527

Provides emergency direct services for the homeless. Provides meals for men and women with children. Assists with supplying minimum necessities of life on a short-term basis for men who are transient or homeless. Program includes shelter, meals, clothing and referrals as needed. Limit of 7 nights every 6 months. Free meals served to anyone Monday-Friday.

  • Breakfast 6:30 a.m. - 7:00 a.m. to overnight shelter guests only;
  • Saturday-Sunday: 6:30 - 7:00 am to the general homeless populations;
  • Dinner: M - F: 3:30 - 4:00 p.m. Sat - Sun: 11:30 am - 12 Noon;
  • Overnight shelter registration from Sunday to Saturday: 6:00 - 6:30 p.m.
Haven of Love Rescue Mission (505) 877-9915 Provides food and clothing on an individual basis for anyone who may need, when available. Shelter only for men 18-20 years old who are traveling, seeking employment, looking for housing, going to school, and seeking spiritual guidance.
Joy Junction (505) 877-6967 or (800) 924-0569 Emergency shelter for homeless and transients. Provides emergency and longer-term shelter for single women and married couples with or without children and single men with children. Program includes shelter, meals, counseling, clothing, and referrals as needed. Attendance at religious services on Sunday is required if this does not interfere with gainful employment. Also, upon a call from a social worker, priest, or religious worker from a hospital, will accept limited amount of single men. (24-hours a day, 7 days a week, transportation is provided to the shelter. The shelter intake is also 24-hours a day.)
Noon Day Ministry - First Baptist Church (505) 247-3611 Services: Provides day shelter, showers, laundry, local telephone calls, short-term storage, clothing, counseling and luncheon program for the poor and/or homeless.
Rehabilitation Services & Veteran Programs (RSVP) (505) 255-8440 Services: Operates job placement services, affordable housing assistance, case managed social services, vocational counseling, filing of Social Security claims, referrals to Department of Veteran Affairs, payee services representation and an emergency food bank.
St. Martin’s Center (505) 843-9405 Emergency day shelter and basic services for homeless people providing showers, toiletries, rest rooms, hair cuts, clothing exchange, breakfast, coffee, telephones, mail and messages, storage, job referrals, substance-abuse counseling and case management and transitional apartments for adults with a serious mental illness. Also, Travel’s Aid Program and case management for families. Mental health counseling; psychosocial rehabilitation. Uses 100 volunteers monthly.
The Salvation Army (505) 881-4293 Casework services to local transient persons. Emergency shelter and meals to homeless. Offers emergency rental assistance for persons with eviction notices and emergency utility assistance for persons with shut-off notices. Provides grocery orders for families who are in need. Provides residential care through work-therapy program for adults with alcohol-and drug-related problems, and for individuals seeking to return to mainstream society. In addition, clothing and job referrals are provided for the homeless.

Lighthouse Mission (505) 762-1933 Provides soup kitchen for residents, emergency food supply, men's shelter with up to three nights lodging. Discipleship Program, temporary emergency shelter for women and children, free clothing for person use, furniture and housewares.

Grandma’s House (505) 748-1198 Shelter for homeless women and their children who are experiencing Domestic Violence, Child Abuse or Sexual Assault in their lives. Provides 24-hour crisis line, crisis intervention, counseling (short or long term), transportation for medical/dental, legal services and school. For shelter residents, food, clothing, and personal hygiene supplies. Advocacy on behalf of the victim regarding law enforcement and the court system. Assistance with employment, housing, and relocation to other shelters. Assist all victims with application to the NM Crime Victims Reparation Commission.

Manna Outreach, Inc. (505) 397-1155 Shelter and food for the homeless. Food baskets for senior citizens and those in need. Clothing and help with Utility shut off notices and various emergency assistance.

Taos

Taos County Limited Purposes Agency (505) 758-4227 Financial assistance for first month’s rent, food assistance and weatherization programs. Also offers emergency assistance for temporary housing.
