Fair Housing Month Message

Information by State  Print version   Following the meeting, Yvonne, center, met with Gary Offenbacher, DMAA Past-President, Yvonne Poindexter, and Cheryl Buol, DMAA President.

The DMAA includes members of 30 management companies and business partners representing over 40,000 housing units in 200 apartment communities in the Detroit metropolitan area. Ms. Poindexter centered her remarks on the meeting's topic, "Marketing Your Property to Affirmatively Further Fair Housing." She also addressed the commemoration of Fair Housing Month and the 2006 theme; recent developments in fair housing; and HUD's efforts to further fair housing. Ninety-two Association members including CEO's, vice presidents, leasing agents, site managers, representatives from the business partners and the general membership attended the meeting.
