HUD Recognizes Housing Authority of Glasgow

Anne Boham, Louisville HUD Office Public Housing Revitalization Specialist, presented two Certificates of Excellence to the Housing Authority of Glasgow on Friday, December 12, 2005. Receiving the awards on behalf of the Housing Authority of Glasgow were Betty Herbert, Chairperson of the Board, and Sheri Lee, Executive Director.

HUD recognized the Housing Authority of Glasgow for two major accomplishments: one was the successful adoption of the Tompkinsville Public Housing Authority and the other was for excellence in the maintenance, administration, and learning center activities and community service offered by the housing authority.

Programs offered by the Glasgow Public Housing Authority include a very active learning center, children's programs, economic self-sufficiency programs, senior programs, community partnerships to keep the programs flowing, and a homeownership program.
