The Cities and Counties listed here, as well as the State of Illinois, receive Community Development Block Grant Funds from the U.S. Department of Housing and Urban Development on an Annual basis. Many of these governmental entities also receive other types of HUD funding. Hundreds of other Illinois Communities, generally those below 50,000 in population, also receive HUD funds, which are passed through the state of Illinois. The State grants these HUD funds under the heading of the Community Development Assistance Program (CDAP).

As you can see here, most of HUD's entitlement entities have their own web sites. Click on the community to find out more.
