Birmingham Field Office Announces FHA Mortgage Limit Increase for Birmingham –Hoover MSA

The Birmingham Field Office of the U.S. Department of Housing and Urban Development received notice from the Atlanta Single Family Homeownership Center that FHA mortgage limits for the Birmingham – Hoover MSA will be raised. The increase will be effective for all counties in the Birmingham – Hoover MSA, which are Shelby, Bibb, Blount, Walker, Chilton, Jefferson and St. Clair. The new limits are as follows:

Birmingham Field Office Director, Cindy Yarbrough, noted that, “We are very pleased to announce this increase in the FHA mortgage limits for the Birmingham – Hoover MSA. With the rising cost of housing the previous FHA mortgage limit made it difficult to use the FHA mortgage program in some of our communities in this area.”
