HUD acquaints ADSS lawyers with senior friendly programs.

On December 13, 2002, HUD employees participated in the quarterly training of attorneys under contract to the Alabama Department of Senior Services (ADSS). ADSS contract attorneys are engaged to provide free legal services to eligible seniors. The Birmingham Office managers provided an overview of Multifamily, Community Planning and Development, Single Family and Public Housing programs that can be useful to the elderly population. Over 30 people participated in the training session. They gave HUD high marks for its outreach efforts and the resources they offered. For their part, HUD staff found new resources with which to help their clients.
